In a shocking incident near the Dhodhi Canal Bridge in the Fakuli OP area of Muzaffarpur, Bihar, a video has surfaced on social media showing three policemen dragging and subsequently dumping what appears to be the body of an accident victim into a canal. The video has raised concerns over the treatment of the deceased and has led to widespread criticism.
According to Fakuli OP in-charge Mohan Kumar, the victim, an elderly man, had been tragically mowed down by a truck in a road accident. Due to the severity of the accident, some body parts and clothing of the victim were unable to be retrieved for postmortem examination, leading to their disposal in the canal.
Muzaffarpur Police, in response to the viral video, issued a statement confirming the accident and the dispatch of the victim's body to Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital for postmortem. An investigation into the authenticity of the video is ongoing, with assurances of strict action against those responsible for the body's disposal.
